Note: By the name
'Gangaw-Ywa', everybody in Rangoon knows that it is the
University Campus. We students from the Rangoon
University who were interested in arts held ten
exhibitions under the name of "Gangaw-Ywa' at the
University Dome and Judson building. The exhibitions were
supervised by a person called 'Village Headman',
a ten-house headman and some ladies who were called paddy
planters. You can call this a modern group. Earlier, it
was a very happy and joyful place, but now it a very
dreary place. You will see the leaves shed by the mohur
trees together with their red flowers and blue flowers
resting on the ground. You might imagine or think you can
hear some sobbing sound because of its mournful past. |
