Word Translation
"I can not be happy without the humblest of us being happy.
Strength comes from an indomitable will. Hatred ever kills, love
never dies. An eye for an eye ends up making the whole world
blind. Woman is the companion of man. My religion is based on
truth and non-violence. Non-violence is the means of realising
God. Intolerance betrays want of faith in one's cause. Truth is
self-sustained. A man who broods on evil is as bad as man who does
evil. Suffering cheerfully endured ceases to be suffering.
Self-respect knows no consideration. The spirit of non-violence
necessarily leads to humility. Truth is my God. True love is
self-effacing and demands no consideration. No sacrifice is worth
the name unless it is a joy. There is no principle worth the name
if it is not wholly good. Love never claims, it ever gives. I
implicitly believe that not a blade of grass moves out but by his
will.
The only virtue I want to claim is truth and non-violence. Woman is the embodiment of sacrifice and suffering. I trust men only because I trust God. Love ever suffers, never resents. Life seemed to me dull and vacant without faith in God. I will not be a traitor to God to please the whole world. Truth is the exclusive property of no single religion. Happiness depends on what you can give, not what you can get. Man has reason, discrimination and free-will. He who trifles with Truth cuts at the root of Ahimsa."
