Le Vuong was born in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) in 1952 and graduated from the Gia Dinh National Fine Art College with a Master degree in 1977. He now is a professor at the same institution. His paintings of still life objects are executed with meticulous detail, lending the works an almost photo-realistic quality. Le Vuong is a master of captivating the light and minute details such as a fold in a tablecloth or the rough surface of a rock. His paintings can be termed minimalist, as he removes all unnecessary objects from his compositions. During his career, he has participated in several exhibitions in Vietnam, and also in Japan (1996), Hong Kong (1999, 2000, 2002), Singapore (2001), France (Paris, 2004) and the USA (2005). His works are on permanent display at the Fine Art Museum in Ho Chi Minh City and are regularly sold at international auctions.
