Vu Duc Trung is a young and talented Vietnamese artist.  He was born in 1981 and completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2003 and his Master degree in 2007.  He has chosen the difficult art of lacquer paintings to express himself.  Although young at age, he already masters the technique of painting and layering the colours and achieve intricate patterns and interfaces.  His paintings often show patterns and structures of nature in a semi-abstract way, utilizing the unique technique of lacquer paintings.  Vu Duc Trung has participated in several exhibitions in Vietnam, and also in Thailand (2003, France (2005), China (2006), and Malaysia (2006).
